Reference to an incorrect file location

    I’m trying to active the W3 Cache plugin on one of my sites and I’m getting the following error:

    ../wp-content/w3tc/dbcache could not be created, please run following command: chmod 777 ../wp-content/w3tc

    But that’s not where the plugin is located, I manually FTP’ed it to to ../wp-content/plugins

    Tried it on another WP install and there it runs without a problem.
    Any advice?
