Redux and bbPress glitchy forum parents

I’m having trouble with an interaction between Redux and bbPress. Specifically, the default forum parent dropdown is overridden by the Redux forum parent dropdown, and the Redux forum parent dropdown can’t see private and hidden forums/categories, thus preventing private/hidden forums/categories from being selected as the parent of a forum/category.

I’m using:
wordpress 5.7
PHP 7.3.12
Redux 4.1.24
bbPress 2.6.6

Can you please help me to reproduce this issue because I’m not an expert in bbPress?

You may mention some steps to help me to reproduce this issue. These steps may contain how to create bbPress categories, how can I find the Redux forum parent dropdown, etc.

Steps to reproduce:

Step 1: in the toolbar click on Forums, then Add New.

(The Forum Attributes menu that’s in the top left is from bbPress and the Forum Attributes in the bottom left is from Redux.)

Step 2: Add a title to the new forum and then publish.

Step 3: Add New forum, give it a title, set visibility to private, and then publish.

Step 4: Add New forum, give it a title, click on parent inside bbPress’s Forum Attributes, you should see both forums you’ve made so far, click the one you’ve made private, and then publish.

The forum is published but the parent is reset to — No parent —

Step 5: Click on Redux’s Forum Attributes, you can’t see the private forum and thus can’t select it.

This bug also applies when Type is set to Category and when Visibility is set to Hidden.

A partial workaround is to temporarily disable Redux, which allows one to set a parent of a Private/Hidden Forum/Category but once Redux is enabled again if the forum is ever edited the parent is reset to — No parent —.

This issue has been resolved in the version of Redux 4 in the Github repo: https://github.com/reduxframework/redux-framework-4

It should be available here at wp.org in early July.

In the Redux MetaBox options post_types argument is page and post but these options also show on all available CPT in my project.
