    I’ve recently set up my website, but, I can’t seem to get rid of excess white spaces in places.

    I’m using widgets for my text, images etc, so I assumed that spacing would be automatically set.

    Is there any way to 1) remove excess white space, 2) create more of a gap where the text looks a bit congested halfway down.

    Hello @freedom1

    You can achieve this by applying following CSS code.

    .panel-row-style.panel-row-style-for-21-2 {
        margin-bottom: -240px;
    }

    .panel-row-style.panel-row-style-for-21-1 {
        margin-bottom: -100px;
    }

    .panel-row-style.panel-row-style-for-21-0 {
        margin-bottom: -100px;
    }

    .panel-widget-style.panel-widget-style-for-21-0-0-1 {
        text-align: center !important;
        margin-top: 20px;
    }

    .panel-widget-style.panel-widget-style-for-21-0-0-2 {
        margin-top: 60px;
    }

    Hope this will help.

    Thanks.

    Thanks wbcomdesigns

    I created the site through Softaculous which was fairly easy following their step by step tutorial.

    I’m a bit useless with CSS coding.

    Does that code you’ve given me all go in the individual widgets which have a place for adding CSS code, or where?

    Thanks again

    Hi, @freedom1

    You can use this plugin for add custom CSS…

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-add-custom-css/

    Add the CSS then it looks like

    Wow, that’s much better, many thanks!

    That’s the great thing about WP, there are so many useful plugins.

    I did ask a question here about a possible plugin about creating ‘boxes’ but I’ve not had a response to my last reply about adding CSS.

    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-to-add-empty-boxes/#post-9315779

    Maybe I could use the same plugin when I get the other code?

    Thanks for your help.

    Will the CSS code I’ve placed now mean that there will be no excess white space on the rest of the page, whatever I add further to the page?

    And, will the gap remain at the correct settings for widgets, however many more I decide to add on?

    Or, will I need to add more CSS in the future?

    Thanks
