# Reduce table size

 * Hi there,
 * I am a new user of TablePress and found it straight forward to use. Except I 
   got stuck with reducing the width of a table.
 * I have tried to reduce the width of the table with this code:
 * .postid-7964 .tablepress td {
    width: 20%; }
 * Then I tried to reduce the width of each column separately with this code:
 *     ```
       .tablepress-id-2 .column-1 {
       	width: 20%;
       }
   
       .tablepress-id-2 .column-2 {
       	width: 20%;
       }
   
       .tablepress-id-2 .column-3 {
       	width: 20%;
       }
       ```
   
 * Neither worked.
 * Also, I have tried going through the FAQs and the previous posts. But none of
   the CSS codes worked for me.

 * thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
 * Please remove this part:
 *     ```
       .tablepress-id-2 .column-1 {
       	width: 10%;
       }
   
       .tablepress-id-2 .column-2 {
       	width: 10%;
       }
   
       .tablepress-id-2 .column-3 {
       	width: 10%;
       }
       ```
   
 * The remaining CSS will then reduce the overall table width 🙂
