Reduce spacing between widgets in a sidebar? (5 posts)

    I am using WordPress's Twenty Twelve theme and am trying to configure a few things. One issue is that on certain pages, the content/widgets in the sidebar have too much space in between each other. They need to be more compact. Can anyone point me in the right direction to change this in my style.css? I am just beginning to use Firebug and can't seem to locate what to change...

    Hey Jake, you really need to use a Child Theme or custom CSS for twentytwelve. Making any changes to theme files is a really bad idea.

    Once you have that set up, add this and change the margin accordingly:

    .widget-area .widget {
        margin-bottom: 3.42857rem;
    }

    .widget-area .widget {
    margin-bottom: 12px;
    margin-bottom: 1.428571429rem;

    }

    Change this code to css to reduce gap between widget header and content
