    Hi
    Thanks for a great plugin!
Could you please let me know if the plugin creates redirects from the old media file name to the new one?

    Many thanks

    Best regards
    John

    Hi,

Redirections are a difficult topic and you need a plugin that does that. The plugin “Redirections” is actually very good 🙂

My plugin can generate a file (in its dashboard) that you can import in Redirections. That works 🙂

    Hi
That’s brilliant! Thank you very much.

How long does the plugin log the information for and do I need to delete the log periodically?

Thanks once again. So much easier than slogging through the redirects manually.

    Best regards

    Hi,

Actually… “forever” 🙂 It’s not really a log, the plugin keeps the information about the original filename as a meta for this media, so basically every time you will click on that button in the dashboard, the plugin will create a fresh list of redirections.

    Hi
Is there any way to clear the log? I have quite a lot of images to rename and I do a batch when I have time and then create the redirects.

I have to try to figure out which records in the file are the new ones. It’s not that easy because new records don’t seem to automatically go to the bottom of the list. Sometimes they are at the bottom, sometimes the top and sometimes they seem to go in between.

If I could clear all the records I could rename some images and happily export all of them to the redirection plugin without having to try to figure out which ones are the new ones.

Is there anything in my cpanel that I could use to clear this information, like phpMyAdmin etc?

    Thanks for your help
    Best regards
    John
