Redirection takes too long

    Hello team,

    I am using this wordpress plugin for URL shortening purposes. Noticed that the URL redirection is taking anywhere between 5-8 secs which I think is very high.

    example link –
    /hdorsignup

    Would you know what could be the reason behind this?

    The website is hosted on Dreamhost shared hosting if that matters

    Hi Deepak,

    Sorry for the inconvenience you had.

    We have checked on your WordPress site and found that a normal site takes approximately 5.25 seconds (Google Chrome Incognito) to load.

    We also found that there are multiple redirections happened when you use the shortlinks. Do you have set up multiple redirections?

    Ideally, shared hosting should not create any issue with this.

    The plugin works fine and short links should take the same time to load as your site takes.
