# Redirection plugin – 404 error – favicon

 * I recently installed the “Redirection” plugin which helps me log errors.
 * I have a favicon that works and shows up fine all my pages….but everytime somebody
   visits a page on my site, I get 2 404 errors for that pages favicon.ico file.
   I now have over 800 404 errors….most of them attributed to the favicon.
 * Any ideas of how to fix this problem?

 * `<link rel="shortcut icon" href="<?php bloginfo('url');?>/favicon.ico" />`
 * instead of:
 * `<link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" >`
 * in header.php.
