Redirection not working

The following static Blogger page need to be redirected to its WP equivalent.

https://pharrawayliving.blogspot.com/p/welcome-to-pharr-away.html

Target WP page is

https://www.pharr-away.com/welcome-to-pharr-away

Result:

https://www.pharr-away.com/welcome-to-pharr-away.html

That .html extension should not be there. How to get rid of it.

What redirect have you created? Redirection cannot redirect your blogger page. Redirecting the .html page itself is just a case of creating a redirect with the .html URL as the source, and the non-html as the target.

I’m using the https://wordpress.org/plugins/blogger-301-redirect/ plugin which ensures that the URL

https://pharrawayliving.blogspot.com/p/welcome-to-pharr-away.html

is first converted to

https://www.pharr-away.com/p/welcome-to-pharr-away.html

And, thereafter it is handed over to the redirection plugin.

For example

post

https://pharrawayliving.blogspot.com/2019/03/madison-age-7.html

is rightly sent to

https://www.pharr-away.com/2019/03/madison-age-7.html

by that plugin.

I’m using the same setup on another site successfully.

That blogger plugin first converts blogspot url

http://www.maureensbooks.blogspot.com/p/books-ive-read-in-2015.html

to

https://www.maureensbooks.com/p/books-ive-read-in-2015.html

and then redirection plugin rule redirects it to

https://www.maureensbooks.com/books-ive-read-in-2015

ok, let me explain again.

When a visitor goes to the URL

https://pharrawayliving.blogspot.com/p/welcome-to-pharr-away.html

the code provided by the plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/blogger-301-redirect/ which is installed at the Blogger end converts the above URL to

https://www.pharr-away.com/p/welcome-to-pharr-away.html

And now the visitor moves towards the WP site. Now because it’s a 404 link, redirection plugin immediately picks it up and look for a rule which I’ve already provided that

redirect

/p/welcome-to-pharr-away.html

to

/welcome-to-pharr-away

Now here it’s not working but such a setup is working like a charm on http://www.maureensbooks.com/

I’ve already provided its live example above.

Here, .html is appended to the final url while on maureen books this does not happen

Right. It wasn’t clear that you already had a Redirection rule setup, and that it’s not working.
