# Redirection / Custom message doesn’t work

 * Hi,
 * Redirections or custom messages when user not logged for private page are not
   working for me.
 * I have a 404 page.
 * Can somebody explain me how the plugin work for this ? Which hook or wordpress
   macanism it uses. I ask because i have custom template for pages/posts, so maybe
   i have not the hooks needed?

 * We currently protect it in a few ways:
 * 1. Template Redirect action: [https://github.com/JunglePlugins/Content-Control/blob/master/classes/Site/Restrictions.php#L20](https://github.com/JunglePlugins/Content-Control/blob/master/classes/Site/Restrictions.php#L20)
 * 2. the_content filter: [https://github.com/JunglePlugins/Content-Control/blob/master/classes/Site/Posts.php#L21](https://github.com/JunglePlugins/Content-Control/blob/master/classes/Site/Posts.php#L21)
 * 3. Widgets as well.
