    I need to do the same thing I think.
    My home page of playtennisinthesun.com redirects to playtennisinthesun/en/ on a 302 redirect, but I did not set this up?
    I am using the Polylang which I love for 2 of my languages English and Spanish. The other flags in the header only have 1 direct page and are not part of the Polylang plugin.

    I read the information that you posted Chouby, thank you, but I am not a web designer and have no idea what to change or where. Also could my Yoast SEO premium plugin be causing the problem?

    Any help would be much appreciated as none of my pages are bring searched by Google expect the original home page.
