 * I created a WordPress blog at [http://www.alicearlene.com/blog](http://www.alicearlene.com/blog).
 * Then i created a site using WordPress through Just Host [http://www.alicearlene.com](http://www.alicearlene.com).
It has a blog page. Both sites use different WP-admin logins. How do I redirect
from the first site to the new one?
 * I may not even be asking this question correctly, but I think you get the gist.

 * Instead of that, why not just move the site from /blog up one level?

 * I’m a novice so I don’t really know what that means. I have an iframe in their
right now, which works although not ideal.

 * Following the guide above, you’ll be able to take the whole site at alicearlene.
com/blog and put it at alicearlene.com instead.

 * Ok, I started the process you suggested. I got through step 6 which involves
changing the addresses in the general settings. Now the site is kicking me out
and when I type in the url to go to the login screen it takes me to [this](http://alicearlene.com/home/blog-2/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.alicearlene.com%2Fblog%2Fwp-admin%2Fedit.php&reauth=1).
So now I can’t even log back in to continue fixing this.
 * Secondly, where do I go to do this? “Move your WordPress core files to the new
location. This includes the files found within the original directory, such as
   [http://example.com/wordpress](http://example.com/wordpress), and all the sub-
   directories, to the new location.”

 * Right, so now move on to step 7, which is “(Do not try to open/view your site
now!),” then step 8, which is:
 * > Secondly, where do I go to do this? “Move your WordPress core files to the
   > new location. This includes the files found within the original directory,
   > such as [http://example.com/wordpress](http://example.com/wordpress), and all
   > the sub-directories, to the new location.”
 * You’ll do that by access your server via [FTP or SFTP](https://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients)
or a file manager in your hosting provider’s control panel.

 * I apologize. Reading is not my problem. Understanding what these steps are communicating
to me is the problem. I recognize that this is written for people who have more
experience in and understand the language of websites, but as I’ve stated I am
   a novice.
 * Special FTP Accounts (Why?)
Type Username Path Usage / Quota Actions alicear1/
   home2/alicear1 0 / ∞ MB NA Configure FTP Client alicear1_logs /var/log/dom…ogs/
   alicear1 0 / ∞ MB NA Configure FTP Client
 * I don’t know what to do with this information.

 * I don’t either, where are you getting that from?
 * In general, to access FTP, you first need an FTP client application. Here are
   some details and recommendations: [https://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients](https://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients)
and consult the documentation for your chosen FTP client application.
 * Next, you need to ask your hosting provider about how you access your server
via FTP. Typically this is either detailed in your hosting provider’s control
panel or documentation. If not, contact your hosting provider.

 * My host is JustHost and they have a button that says FTP manager. When I click
it, it has three levels: Add an FTP account, FTP Account and SFTP account. The
information I copied was listed underneath the SFTP accounts. The first path
is: /home2/alicear1 and the second path is: /var/log/dom…ogs/alicear1. I don’t
know if this is what I am supposed to be looking for or not.

 * I’m honestly not sure either, sorry. I’ve never used JustHost.
 * I recommend contacting their support for details.

 * Yes, follow this guide to change it back in the database: [https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL#Changing_the_URL_directly_in_the_database](https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL#Changing_the_URL_directly_in_the_database)
 * You’ll find phpMyAdmin in your hosting provider’s control panel.
