• Im very busy and unable to keep up with my blog. In the meantime I would Like to redirect all traffic from my blog to my forum. This way once people visit my blog they will not arrive to outdated blog post, but an active forum. The blog is very similar to the forum so Traffic wont be mislead in any way. I looked through options and their is a section which allows you to change your blogs domain and I was wondering if substituting my forums address Be the thing to do for someone in my situation. Ive tried it before with no problem but I need more of a Expert opinion before I do this again.

  • A 302 redirect might be in order. You need to understand the difference between a 301 and a 302 and the possible impact on indexing by search engines.

A little reading may be in order. Google search on how to redirect to a subdomain, or a different domain, or whatever you are doing. You may have to make your search Apache or IIS specific, or perhaps it can be easily done easily through your hosting providers’ control panel tools.

Here is a starting point that might have some helpful info.

    Hi

Its easy, if you are using Cpanel Pro 11 You can create a redirect route in your panel.

You only need to specify the original url http://www.mysite.com/blog/ to be redirecting to http://www.mysite.com/forum/ and set if you’d like to see a wilcard of redirecting and specify if the redirecting works with or without “www”

    Good Luck
