When i look at documentation on woocommerce.com on how to connect your store with facebook, in the topbar of the first image you see “Facebook for WooCommerce”
    But,
When i click the “get started” button from my woocommerce store, a popup windows opens where in the topbar it says “Facebook for Magento”. After a while of loading, i get this message: Connection failed. Check that you’re logged into your store. You can close this window and reopen the plugin from inside your store’s admin panel.
Anyone knows why this happens and how i can fix this?
    Many thanks…

That definitely doesn’t sound like regularly-expected behavior from our plugin. Could I ask you to please open up a support request with us here?

I have the same issue when going back to version 1.9.15 because 1.10.2 is not working well in woocommerce admin. I already let a message about that issue.

    Thanks

    Hi @katy87 and @fsalvail!

Our engineers have looked into this and this is normal behavior at this time. Within this popup window, everything is handled on the Facebook side. It’s possible that the redirection page has Magento as the default, which is why this is visible.

If the redirection fails for some reason, it’s possible that you’ll be stuck on the page with the Magento label. That’s a separate issue apart from the label.

All of that said, the brief visibility of Facebook for Magento is normal at this time. So sorry for the confusion this has caused, and thanks for bringing it up to us, we really appreciate it.

I’m going to go ahead and mark this issue as resolved. If you have any other questions, please feel free to open up a support request with us here:

    Hi,
you wrote” That’s a separate issue apart from the label.”
can you tell us how to fix the connection with facebook ?

It is not solved at all! beyond the problem of the “magento label”
we have this error message “Make sure you’re signed in to your store. You can close this window and reopen the plug-in from within the administration panel of your store.”
    so we cannot go ahead…

Are you declaring is a facebook error ?
Is there any facebook setting to configure to fix it?
please now is becoming URGENT. we need your help.

    Hey @fabiosantoro,

It sounds like you may have a slightly different issue from the one originally reported here, so I’d love to get some additional information so that we can investigate properly.

Where are you currently seeing the error message, is this in the pop-up window with the Magento title? If you could send a screenshot of this, that would be super helpful.

The pop-up window that is part of the setup wizard when managing the connection of the plugin is controlled by Facebook, from their own servers. So while we don’t have any control over this behavior, we would certainly want to look into this issue for you still to see what suggestions we can make. If there is an overall issue with the Facebook setup screen, then we can also have our developers get in contact to see if they’re aware and if they have any suggestions too.

It would also be very interesting to know if you see the same issue when logging in from a different browser, or from a private/incognito browser window. We have seen some merchants have conflicts with ad blockers/add-ons that have prevented the Facebook scripts from loading correctly.

Could you let me know how you get on with the different browsers, and if you can send over a screenshot of the error?

    Cheers!

    Simon.

that issue is fixed thank you .
    probably is firefox issue
    thanks

    Hey @fabiosantoro,

Ahh, that’s great to hear. Were you also using Facebook Container too, or just regular Firefox?

Glad to hear it’s sorted either way! If there’s anything else we can do to help, please do let us know.

    Cheers,

    Simon.
