    Hi,

    I’ve installed the plugin on the Divi theme and placed the shortcode in a text module. It’s showing on the front end but when I click the anchor it just redirects the page to Youtube instead of opening in a lightbox.

    I’ve deactivated all other plugins, emptied my server cache, and tried the plugin shortcode with a text anchor, image anchor, and with and without the rel=”wp-video-lightbox” line.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Thanks for responding so quickly, it’s : [video_lightbox_youtube video_id=”JWernOV5DlY” rel=”wp-video-lightbox” width=”640″ height=”480″ anchor=”http://phpstack-4836-14042-91212.cloudwaysapps.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/CRG-icons_Desktop1.jpg”%5D

    Hi, try the following example code. Remember to change the settings to reflect your video.

    <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7z74BvLWUg"
    rel="wp-video-lightbox" title=""><img
    src="http://example.com/images/thumbnails/youtube.jpg"
    alt="YouTube" width="60" /></a>

    Hey, this still just links through the Youtube.

    Here’s the page: http://phpstack-4836-14042-91212.cloudwaysapps.com/catalytic-reaction-guide/

    The button is the small image below the two mobile phones (it’s just a quick placeholder for now i’ll be using a different button image once it’s created)

    Thanks

    Hi, can you test a different theme like Twenty Fifteen one of WordPress default themes.

    Thread Starter Cscott2015

    (@cscott2015)

    I can’t do that as we have child themes and lots of custom css on the theme we’re using at the moment so I don’t want to mess any of that up. Do you have any ideas why it isn’t working properly?

    Just one question, do you have the following enabled “Enable prettyPhoto” in WP video lightbox settings.

    (@cscott2015)

    Hi, yes that’s enabled.

    Can you try to disable all other plugins just to carry out a test? Then you can enable them again?

    I’ve already tried that several times. I’ve updated my theme too but no luck and i’ve unistalled and reinstalled your plugin but keep getting the same problem

    I don’t see any traces of the plugin shortcode in the URL you shared above.

    Can you add a page or post but don’t publish the page. Add the shortcode and test to see if it displays the youtube video in a lightbox.

    hi, I’ve just tried that and it still redirects to Youtube. I placed the code into a Divi text module, and also tried it placed into the default wordpress text editor – no luck.

    Can you share that test page URL?

    You need to publish the page but don’t share the page URL on the front of your website. The URL you submitted above is only for admin testing. That URL will not work if you try and share it.

    Regards
