Hello, I want to redirect shop manager after successful login from /my-account to /wp-admin by using URL and Role/Capacitybut it’s not working. Please see below the screenshot.

After successful login, the user with a shop manager role is still redirected to /my-account

The role has to be the proper role or capability text used by WordPress. I don’t think this will be ‘role manager’

Also, if something else is performing a redirect it may still continue performing that redirect.

Hi, I try Administrator, switch to a default WordPress theme and disable other plugins. It’s still not working.

Ok, but that won’t change anything with your reported problem.

    As described here: https://redirection.me/support/matching-redirects/

The name of a WordPress role or capability Note this is the role/capability identifier and not the text description.

    Roles and Capabilities

You need to use the role slug, not the label.

Hello, I have the same problem since the beginning of February. Previously the redirects by user role worked perfectly from one moment to the next began to fail and did not redirect correctly for any user role. John, I tried to communicate from the form on your website but still had no response. Could you help me?

@codeinteractive nothing has changed in the plugin with respect to this, and things tend not to change like that without some external factor involved. I have no record of a message from ‘codeinteractive’ so cannot comment on an email.

Ok, you had put an incorrect email address on your message so my response bounced. I’ve forwarded you the message.

Hi, It’s not working even though I use the slug as you said. Could you please write it down the correct input in the field? What do I have to put in the filed to make it work?

    Thanks.

I don’t know what you need to enter – it’s custom to your site. All the plugin does is call current_user_can (a WordPress function) with the role or capability you provide. It has to be something that is known and valid on your site and that returns true or false depending on the situation.
