• Hi Peter,
I’m using the Peter’s Login Redirect plugin already and it works great! Thanks for creating and sharing this plugin.
Now I need to show a different page after login for subscribers who logged in the very first time (or show a different message on the same page if that’s easier). I had a look at the code example on the ‘Other notes’ page (https://wordpress.org/plugins/peters-login-redirect/other_notes/) as well as on your blog (http://www.theblog.ca/wordpress-redirect-first-login), but I’m not sure
    1. if I can use this code along with the actual Peter’s Login Redirect plugin,
    2. how to implement this so it takes precedence over the redirect rules in the actual plugin.

Would you be able to share your thoughts around this? Should I add the example code to my theme’s function.php file and it would just work? Or should I add this code to the plugin’s code somewhere?

Would it be possible to add this feature to the plugin in a coming release? I’d prefer a non-cookie based solution, i.e. modifying the user’s meta data. I’m not sure how complicated it is, but maybe you could also have a checkbox to ‘mark all existing users as not first time visitors’ which would update all users so existing users wouldn’t be redirected to the custom first time visitor page (only those who registered after the plugin was activated or this checkbox was checked).

    Thanks,
    Peter
