[Resolved] Redirecting domain to folder outside WPMU

    @akerbak

    Hello all,

    I’m quite a newbie at .htaccess/DNS and whatnot, but begin understanding some of it. What I do not understand, and hope some of you could help me with, is this:

    I currently have a WP multisite set up at a server, where both domains hviteorn.no and ksss.no are pointing to. hviteorn.no is the main domain, where all the multisite sites are located.

    I now want ksss.no to point to a folder in the server I manually added, /ksss-old. If I access the URL manually through http://hviteorn.no/ksss-old, the files show up (not my designs). But I have trouble pointing ksss.no to this location.

    My host provider assisted me by adding the necessary DNS settings for KSSS.no to point to the server, and setting up the necessary aliases. I was also given a piece of code to put in the .htaccess-file to activate the redirect to the correct folder.
    The code looks like follows:

    Options +FollowSymlinks
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ksss.no
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !ksss-old/
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ ksss-old/$1 [L]

    I added this after the standard .htaccess code for WP multisites, but this did not work. Here my incompetence and all of you genious WordPressers brilliance comes to play: When opening ksss.no I get sent directly to hviteorn.no. Can anyone help me with this matter, please?

    Thanks in advance,
    Marius
