I received a bunch of sample posts in a template I purchased. A few of them randomly came up in search results after launching the site so I put them all in draft mode about 15 posts. I want to redirect them all to my home page in case they come up in future search results. My problem is after putting them in draft mode they do not have actual working URL’s anymore they are all previews now. In the field target URL inside the Redirection plugin, is this preview now my target URL instead of a normal .com URL?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

The target will be wherever you want them to be redirected to. You said you want to redirect them to the home page.

Yes I did. but now I don’t have a real URL I have previews now because I put them in draft mode. Should I take them out of draft mode and just redirect the template sample posts to my home page that way?

I guessed I’m confused about if I can redirect posts in draft mode because they now produce previews,

Draft mode pages/posts are not indexed by Google, correct. Sorry for the dumb questions

You said you wanted to redirect from the original URL to the home page. Your redirect should look like this:

    Source: original URL
    Target: /

It doesn’t matter if they are in draft or not. If you don’t need the pages then you should delete them. You can redirect from any URL, existing or not.
