redirect_canonical lead to infinite loop if site url contains a dash

    Hello,
    the problem first appeared with the 4.4.1 update, it was resolved in version 4.4.2 and now is back in wordpress 4.5.
    The issue plagues static front pages only.
    Removing the redirect_canonical filter solves the problem, but is not optimal for SEO reason.
