[Resolved] Redirect www.subdomain.domain.com to subdomain.domain.com

  • Yes, this is done with 301 redirect rules in your .htaccess file…

    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.(.*)$ [NC]
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://%1/$1 [R=301,L]

    OR, contact your dns provider/webhost and ask this..www can be forced to no-www at some hosts (actually all but some don’t provide such support)

    I’ve tried the .htaccess but still can’t seem to get it to work. I’ve contacted my host so hopefully I can get some support from them.

    Just had my host update my DNS and then I set up a simple 301 Redirect using a plugin. All fixed now. Many thanks!
