Currently a noob at this so sorry.

    I've a wp blog hosted at subdomain.domain.com
I'd like it that when people go to http://www.subdomain.domain.com they'll instantly be redirected to subdomain.domain.com

Normally I'd be happy enough to just leave it as is but my host uses Parallels and that means that every time you visit http://www.subdomain.domain.com it comes up with a very annoying: "You see this page because there is no Web site at this address"

Is there anyway to adjust my DNS Settings to redirect this url?

    Many thanks in advance.

Yes, this is done with 301 redirect rules in your .htaccess file...

    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.(.*)$ [NC]
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://%1/$1 [R=301,L]

OR, contact your dns provider/webhost and ask this..www can be forced to no-www at some hosts (actually all but some don't provide such support)

Thanks you very much, I really appreciate the help.

I've tried the .htaccess but still can't seem to get it to work. I've contacted my host so hopefully I can get some support from them.

I'll keep this topic open until all is resolved. Thanks.

Just had my host update my DNS and then I set up a simple 301 Redirect using a plugin. All fixed now. Many thanks!
