Redirect whole site urls to single page

I’m having trouple getting all of the pages in my site to redirect to the new homepage url. It certainly works for the homepage of the old site to the new site, but all other pages redirect to the new site showing a 404. For example:

jpopsus.org/ goes to http://www.whp-journals.co.uk/JPS/ which is good, but

jpopsus.org/all-issues/ goes to whp-journals.co.uk/JPS/all-issues/ which I don’t want. I just want it to go to http://www.whp-journals.co.uk/JPS/

What redirect have you created for this? It is only redirecting to where you tell it to go.

Thanks for your reply John. I wanted to add a screenshot but it looks like that isn’t possible. My settings are as follows:

Source URL – jpopsus.org/ – Regex
Title –
Match – URL only
When matched – Redirect to URL – 301 permanently moved
Target URL – https://www.whp-journals.co.uk/JPS/
Group – Redirections – 0

Just to clarify: I want all paths of my old site to redirect to the home page of the new site.

At present https://www.jpopsus.org/all-issues
resolves to https://www.whp-journals.co.uk/JPS/all-issueshttps://www.whp-journals.co.uk/JPS/

I fixed it! Sorry about bothering you. Reading the notes about regular expressions and the use of .* , I realised that my browser was chaching previous pages and giving me false results.

One last critical question: I don’t seem to be able to get on to the WP login page as it now very efficiently redirects me to the new homepage. Fortunately, I still have the WP Dashboard open and can edit Redirect.

Ok, you should edit your redirects to not redirect the login page. You can also use https://redirection.me/support/disable-redirection/ to temporarily disable active redirects.

Thanks John. I have looked at editing the redirect to exclude the login page, but couldn’t find any information on how to do this. Could you show how this is done please?
