redirect URL issue – #wpcf7-f100-p000-o1

Hello, once form fill has been submitted, how does one remove the #wpcf7….from the redirect url ? example here: /thank-you/#wpcf7-f377-p258-o1.
My permalink shows just: http://www.mydomain.com/thank-you/
Can this simply be edited by changing the redirect url in the php code ?
(i dont want to make use of a plugin for this issue – would prefer to do it manually)
