Hi @twootton
Could you check that cache has been flushed after upgrade.
I can see a redirect to the login page without issues.
Here is the screencast:

Let me know,
Best Regards!
This is also not working for me. I have deleted/purged all caches, but the redirect isn’t working.
One thing to note is, I didn’t get the prompt to update/upgrade the database, like it said in your documentation when upgrading to 2.2.0
Hi @90degreemedia
There aren’t database upgrade scripts for the upgrade 2.1.21 version to 2.2.0
Best Regards!
Thank you for confirming that. What about the redirect issue? Can you shed some light on this?
Hi @90degreemedia,
I have replied to your conversation that you send me to team@ultiamtemember.com
I need to clarify some details.
Best Regards!
My apologies. I didn’t see your reply. I’m responding to that now. Thanks!
Hi.
I am also having the same problem with redirect on login. It will send the login to the home page for non-admin and to WPadmin Dashboard for Administrators instead of going to the protected page in the link clicked. This happens for all user roles.
Also the redirect to show restricted message if not logged in on page config is not showing the restricted message. It only shows the default WP nothing was found with the correct URL in the address bar.
Has something changed in 2.2.0 that I need to reconfigure or is this a problem support is working on?
Thanks
Getting the same. Got a lot of angry clients lining up…
Hi @nsinelnikov,
Thanks! That fixed both problems. All seems good now.
Regards
The solution given isn’t a solution in my opinion.
I’m hiding the pages from the queries / search results because they aren’t allowed to be seen by non-members.
When I let them be seen in the queries, the title of the page and an excerpt will be shown to the public.
Because of this new system it isn’t possible to give deeplinks to the users. They must always go to a specific login page before they can continue. That isn’t user friendly.
This new version gives me a larger security and privacy problem than the previous version.
In the previous version people could find restricte pages by accident which were protected but were redirect to the login page.
In the current version people can find restricted pages by simply searching for keywords and even read some of the information.
Hi @ffortissimo
Sorry, we are now going to add some hotfixes to show restricted posts’ content in archives. So visible in query posts will have restricted messages content. Security has a high priority for us (details in the article above https://wordpress.org/support/topic/ultimate-member-2-2-0-404-page-for-restricted-posts-instead-redirect-or-message/).
Please try this beta-version if you have some staging website. We have added a few hotfixes
https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/ultimate-member.2.2.1-beta.zip
You may re-activate Ultimate Member because there is a new option for replacing the restricted post’s title inside the archive list.
Let me know,
Best Regards!
Hi @nsinelnikov ,
I’ve waited for the regular update and just installed 2.2.2 .
The redirection still doesn’t work.
Hi @nsinelnikov ,
Just tried 2.2.4 and it still didn’t work.
My goal:
Trying to enter a member-only page -> redirect to login page.
Search results must not show any result for restricted pages/posts.
Do I need to make special settings within 2.2.4?
Hello,
I think I have similar problem. Since 2.2 restricted posts are not any longer hidden for every search to not allowed users, unless you use 404 page option. But I do need to direct the not allowed user to the login page! What to do then?
Is Ultimate Member team planning to fix that?
Or, at least are you going to provide the code for functions.php chlid (using pre-get_post approach if this is suitable here)?
Thanks
