Redirect on portfolio posts

I have setup a new user who has access to post within certain categories. This part all seems to work fine and the user himself can see the posts.

However, unless you are logged into the wordpress backend, you cannot see them when you click onto the post and it simply redirects the user back to the homepage.

Posts made from scratch under my admin profile work fine. I have also tried republishing the posts and have changed the author to me as well. None of these things work.

Any ideas why it’s doing this?
