Redirect main domain in multi-site

    I would like to redirect my main domain to my google+ page, though I would like to use a subdomain. I thought it best to install WP as multi-site in the main domain directory, and though I can create a second site as subdomain, my main domain redirect is cancelled out.

    It appears I cannot have a main domain redirect and multi-site at the same time…is this correct? Would my best option may to redirect main domain and install WP in the subdomain?
