Support » Plugins » Redirect Loop with BPS Security When Redirects in Custom htaccess

  • I get redirect loops and “too many redirect” errors when I use redirect directives in custom htaccess code. Used WITHOUT BPS the redirects work just fine.

    The redirects:

    RedirectMatch 301 (?i)/book http://iampariah.com/books
    RedirectMatch 301 (?i)/class http://iampariah.com/classes
    RedirectMatch 301 (?i)/service http://iampariah.com/services
    RedirectMatch 301 (?i)/webinar http://iampariah.com/webinars

    I have read http://forum.ait-pro.com/forums/topic/htaccess-redirect-code-where-do-i-add-redirect-htaccess-code/ .

I have tried the redirects in the bottom custom code slot as well as the top.

    The following also doesn’t work:

    RedirectMatch 301 http://iamPariah.com/book http://iamPariah.com/books
    RedirectMatch 301 http://iamPariah.com/class http://iamPariah.com/classes
    RedirectMatch 301 http://iamPariah.com/service http://iamPariah.com/services
    RedirectMatch 301 http://iamPariah.com/webinar http://iamPariah.com/webinars

    Help?

  • Just came across this Thread in no-mans Tags land. 😉 I’m sure you already figured this out by now, but here is the redirect code.

    RedirectMatch 301 ^/book$ http://iamPariah.com/books
    RedirectMatch 301 ^/class$ http://iamPariah.com/classes
    RedirectMatch 301 ^/service$ http://iamPariah.com/services
    RedirectMatch 301 ^/webinar$ http://iamPariah.com/webinars

For future reference please post questions in the BPS plugin Support area and they will be answered ASAP. Thanks.
