    @aaronmaret

    i’m trying to force secure checkout for my shop. i have an SSL certificate installed. but when i check “Force Secure Checkout” on the WooCommerce settings, i get a redirect loop error.

    if i uncheck force secure checkout, my payment gateway- Stripe will not work.

    does anyone have any suggestions?

    i have the latest version of wordpress (3.8) and all plugins.

    You might be suffering from a problem where the server doesn’t know that the browser is connecting via SSL; read about it here. To test whether that’s the problem, install the SSL Insecure Content Fixer plugin and run the is_ssl() test from the plugins page — that will tell you whether WordPress can detect SSL properly.

    If that’s the problem, download and install the plugin Force SSL URL Scheme, and set your Website URL and Site URL to use https.

    cheers,
    Ross
