Redirect loop after moving host (2 posts)

I'm fairly new to wordpress and after completing a site at frayedcollar.com I used this tutorial to move my site to 23101971.co.uk.

Once I'd downloaded and uploaded the files and changed wp-config both sites were online but all the links on 23101971.co.uk would direct to the correct page but at frayedcollar.com. I then changed the urls in Administration > Settings > General to 23101971.co.uk on frayedcollar.com and was logged out of wordpress. Any attempts to log in would loop between the two sites but I couldn't log in to either.

I've deleted the wordpress files from my sql database for frayedcollar.com (I still have a backup) thinking that this may allow 23101971.co.uk to work as normal, instead I now have a redirect loop for all the tabs on 23101971.co.uk and cant access the login page at all

I'm pretty lost at this point, any help would be greatly appreciated!

There are often many URL's and paths stored in the WP database in 'serialized' form. That is, the strings are stored along with their length. Using a normal 'search and replace' will cause problems if the new URL or path is a different length from the old one. You must use a special tool to copy from one site to another.

Here is an article with the steps that I use to migrate (copy) a site: http://wordpress.mcdspot.com/2012/08/22/migrating-a-wordpress-site-step-by-step/
