• I am running the latest version of WP on my website (which I think is 4.3.1) http://equaljusticeproject.co.nz. I mistakenly clicked on the “Re-install 4.3.1” button below the status bar telling me that I had the latest version, and cancelled the loading of my page when I did that so as to not reinstall WordPress again. After this, I proceeded to try and update my plugins. I was directed to a page with the message that my plugins were updating, but after refreshing when there was no sign of progress, I got a blank page with the message “This web page has a redirect loop”.

The url that shows up for this redirect loop error is http://equaljusticeproject.co.nz/wp-admin/admin.php?page=cscs_options&section=help

No other changes were made to my website prior to this error, and the website is working fine. It shows me as logged in, but I am unable to access the Dashboard or anything apart from the site itself. I need to access the Dashboard urgently in order to make posts for work, hopefully there is a way around this. Any help is appreciated.

This is because of misconfiguration of redirect rule in .htaccess file. Rename the current .htaccess file and create new one. You can refer the following WordPress page to configure .htaccess correctly.

Thanks for your reply. I’ve gone through the guide but I’m not sure how to access the .htaccess file. Also, would I just copy and paste the code in the guide that corresponds to my version of WordPress/ basic WordPress? I’m not familiar with accessing and modifying .htaccess at all, so any help would be appreciated.
