redirect loop

Trying to set up a members-only site with a simple “about us” public page. I want that to be the redirect target for non-logged-in users.
When I set this up, I get a redirect loop when I try to access it as a non-logged in user.
I’ve got BuddyPress installed, not sure if that’s a factor. Otherwise it’s pretty vanilla.
