    Hi,

    Great widget !!! Very powerful and easy to use.

    Is there a way to customize the redirect Link Style? I am using the widget to create a news linked to a page. The font is then underlined but is it possible to suppress this underlining and impose a hovering color?

    Thanks in advance for support
    Philippe

    Hi,

    to continue with my previous post, I had partial success changing php code in gAnnounce.php with:

    • text-decoration: none
    • onMouseOver / onMouseOut paramaters – the oldfashion way šŸ™‚

    see this example:

    if ( ! empty( $data ) ) {
    	foreach ( $data as $data ) {

    		if( ! empty( $data->gnews_redirect_link ) ) {
    			$data->gNews_text = '<a href="'.$data->gnews_redirect_link.'" style="color:inherit;text-decoration:none;font-weight:inherit" onMouseOver="this.style.color='#b8a279'" onMouseOut="this.style.color='#8C6900'" target="_blank">'.$data->gNews_text.'</a>';
    		}

    Don’t know if it is really a good idea to use this in production.
    Would be nice to get such kind of options in the setting of the widget.

    Let me know if you have an idea about it.
    Thanks in advance for support.

    ps:

    in the code for the ones who would try, in the mouseover/out parameters I replaced the ‘ character by & # 0 3 9 ;

    Code has been interpreted in the previous post…

    Hi Philippe,

    It is not really recommended to modify any of the plugin files. You would need to maintain those changes or else you would loose them while updating plugin.

    Further, we have noted your suggestion to add setting to customize the redirect link style and would try to implement it in the future releases of the plugin.

    With regards to using the modified code on your production site i would suggest you to first test it on your staging/test site and if it doesn’t create any issues then i guess it is fine to use it on your production site.

    Thank You.
