# Redirect Issues (Everything Installed)

 * Here’s the situation:
 * I have a ‘baby’ plan on hostgator which allows unlimited addon domains. The main
   domain on this account is entirely unrelated to my WP multisite install, which
   is on an addon domain.
 * I put up a wildcard dns for the addon domain (set it to correct document root,
   not just public_html) and started to add some subdomains to the network, [http://www.writerswithhats.com](http://www.writerswithhats.com)
   is the main site on the multisite install, I added 3 more subdomain sites to 
   that. I can access all of the dashboards and edit settings just fine, but I am
   having some weird problems with accessing the sites.
 * The main site works fine, as does one of the subdomains. However, 2 of the 3 
   subdomains redirect to the main site on my hostgator account (entirely unrelated
   to these sites). What I have also noticed is that these two sites doing this 
   redirect have directories on the ftp like: writerswithhats.com/(site name), while
   the other one, which works just fine, doesn’t have a directory there.
 * Sorry if I seem to be rambling and haven’t used the right terminology, still 
   trying to wrap my head around all of this. Any help at all would be appreciated,
   I can provide more information if needed.

 * That may be your problem you know. WordPress needs you to point it all to where
   you have it installed, which is NORMALLY public_html.
 * However. What domain mapping plugin are you using? The domains should ALSO be
   mapped to where WP is installed, and then mapped inside WordPress via a plugin.

 * Did you park them in the same way pr make them add-on domains/ They do not need
   to have their own folder on the server and they should be directed to your multisite
   install. that means if you did make them add-on domains, look at the details 
   in cpanel, specifically the home url.

 * Hello,
 * I got everything working in a remarkably lazy way- I just deleted the subdomains
   and created new ones with different (yet similar) names, everything’s working
   fine now. Not a particularly smart fix, but it’s functional so I’m a happy webmaster.
