# Redirect Error

 * Hi Everyone,
 * I am experiencing an issue where an internally hosted website is re-directing
   to many times. The WordPress and Site URL are identical. It worked fine when 
   everything was only locally available on the server and the URL was localhost.
   Once we cnanged it to be the server address and updated the permissions to include
   access from other devices on the network, we ran in to this issue.
 * I found a Temporary Fix by adding /index.php to the Site Address URL. This made
   the site work perfectly, however stopped plugins like Elementor from working.
 * I have also found that the redirect issue only happens when the home page is 
   a static page. If it is set to recent posts, there is no error.
 * I have tried disabling all plugins, changing themes, but no luck. I have spent
   days searching through online forums for answers, but sadly nothing as yet.
 * Technical Stuff:
    Wordpress is version 5.5 (this was happening before we updated
   to 5.5 as well). Hosted with WAMP 3.2.0, Apache 2.4.41, PHP 7.3.12 and MariaDB
   10.4.10

 * Possibly internal redirection got glitch because your pages (or other types of
   content including images) have old slugs and new ones and they redirect to each
   other. You can try to make a new main page with a completely different slug.
   
   Just to be sure, resave Permalinks: ‘Dashboard » Settings » Permalinks’ — push:‘
   Save’ button.
 * Check also .htaccess file on the root of your site in case there are some rules(
   be careful with this file).

 * Hi Olga,
 * Still no luck unfortunately. I have replaced all old instances of the localhost
   URL is phpMyAdmin.
 * Any other ideas?
