redirect bug – redirects to two different urls | WordPress.org

I recently installed RankMath on my woocommerce site. I selected “Remove base”,
“Remove category base”, and “Remove parent slugs”. Now each of my product pages has two different distinct URLs.

For example the following product page is can be accessed at

https://www.hypnoticdreams.com/self-help/you-can-enjoy-eating-healthy/

and

https://www.hypnoticdreams.com/you-can-enjoy-eating-healthy/

The first URL is the one I want, and is listed as canonical. But the second was briefly listed in the sitemap while I was experimenting with the permalink settings, and now bingbot is crawling it.

How do I eliminate the unwanted URL without defining individual redirects for every product page?

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support and bringing your concern to our attention.

Our plugin can handle the redirection for the parent slug because only Rank Math is handling that, but the category base is something that is also controlled by the permalinks, so you would need to create redirections for those after enabling the options.

You may refer to this guide to create a redirection and eliminate the second URL you have shared. https://rankmath.com/kb/setting-up-redirections/

We checked your sitemap, and the second URL was already removed there.
