Redirect apparently works, but still 404 content | WordPress.org

I have specified a redirect page, and according to the URL bar at the top of the page, the person is redirected, however the content of that page just shows the normal 404 content.

Can anyone help?

Hi Salvador21,
if you have selected the ‘Redirect to a page or post’ option, you need to set the post/page ID.

Your destination page should not be restricted.
