 * Alright. I’m going to start a new thread for this.
 * 1) I installed and activated the plugin.
    2) I searched for unlinked images.
   3) I allowed the plugin to delete unlinked child images only.
 * Then…
 * Aside from the plugin deleting all kinds of random images that weren’t part of
   the list, when I click on any post (pages are just fine), the URL changes to
   the correct link, but the page merely redirects to the home page content. The
   only change prior to this issue was the steps listed above. Prior to that, things
   were working properly.
 * Also, the images are actually still out there on the server. They don’t appear
   to be deleted at all. It would **appear** only the connections removed from the
   database. And, no, I was an idiot without a recent backup of the database.
 * I need to know what changes this plugin has made so that I can try to fix whatever
   database fields it’s messed with. Just to be fair, I cleared cache, reset browser,
   and rebooted my laptop just to make sure it wasn’t something strange on my end.
   I also tried two other browsers I don’t normally use.
 * It’s definitely something going on with this plugin.

 * Hi,
 * I’m not sure what happened with the plugin for you. What the plugin does is look
   through table data looking for images references. If the image is not referred
   to by a post outside of the media library it is presented as an unused image.
   When the image is deleted via the interface the file in the file system is deleted
   after the media library reference in the database table is deleted. No other
   image should be touched other that those selected in the interface. I have gone
   through the code a couple times to ensure that is the case after seeing your
   issue, and I do not understand how this could have happened. As I have indicated
   I used this on a couple of large production web sites for some clients of mine.
 * Without having a copy of your DB and file system it would be hard to diagnose
   the issue. If you can provide such a copy, I’d be happy to look into it for you.

 * One possible issue could be the use of plugins other than Pods (or using Pods
   in table mode instead of meta mode). This plugin only identifies images that
   are in use by standard WordPress posts, pages and Pods content in meta mode.

 * If this is Pods-related, I’m also here to provide further support if we can determine
   it’s something that Pods is doing that’s causing the issue. I’m the lead developer
   of the Pods project.

 * Hi Scott,
 * It wouldn’t be directly Pods related – that is it wouldn’t be Pods creating the
   issue. This plugin takes into account images used in Pods when Pods is not configure
   to use its own tables. The fact that Pods showed up in this thread is simply
   because of that – that this plugin does support Pods in that mode, not that Pods
   causes a problem.

 * Having no further discussion on this, I assume the issue is closed.
