Redirect

  • Cannot find anything addressing this particular mistake. I have two sites, hoping to use one for museum and one for historical society. I typed in a redirect url to see how it worked. I learned that the redirect works fine — if you enter url for old site your are redirected to the new one. However, I’m now not able to access the old site! (Duh.) How can I undo my redirect? Have spent days reformatting and entering data, and photos in media gallery. Arrggh.
    old url: http://www.boonehistory.org
    new url: http://www.boonecountymuseum.com

  • Where did you enter the redirect?

Thx Andrew. I believe I clicked a tools link on menu on left side of boonehistory.org site. Entered the two websites and presto, instant redirect to the boonecountymuseum.com site. Immediately, user name and passwords were inactive and I was unable to access the .org site. I reset the password and was able to reset the password but can only access the .com site.

    Hi Boone,

I don’t believe that’s stock WordPress functionality, do you know which plugin you installed that’s adding that menu item under tools?
