I have been using the MU Domain Mapping plugin with no problems on four subdomains (awesome!). But on one of the subdomains, something is causing recursive hits to my page and causing high CPU usage. The plugin works, but its causing millions of hits to my page. All of the settings for this subdomain match the others.

When I set the primary domain back to the original subdomain, the recursive hits stop. Any idea what might be wrong? The site is kasiamcmahon.com/mattsawesomeblog. I have mapped mattbikesmpls.net to that subdomain. Its not currently set as the primary domain because my hosting account has threatened to suspend my account.

Check your error logs for Rewrite Limit Exceeded. If you are getting that then you have a resource (image, css, js, etc.) linked in a theme/plugin that doesn’t exist.

I am not getting that error message. Any other suggestions?

I just leaded mattbikesmpls.net and it didn’t redirect to kasiamcmahon.com/mattsawesomeblog. It wasn’t super fast but it loaded fine.

Thank you Ron, I was able to fix the issue. The plugin was not causing the issue. There was an RSS feed link to the original url (kasiamcmahon.com/mattsawesomeblog) that was causing an error. I don’t fully understand what it was doing, but when I deleted that, the issue disappeared. Thank you for your help!
