 * I have WF running in my hosting account root but not in each test bed install
   folder. WF in the root is recursively protecting all the down-line folders. This
   is great except when it interferes with a plugin in the down-line folder. Can
   you help me with htaccess code to make exceptions for a down-line folder so I
   do not have to install wf in the test bed folders. I have other security on those.
 * Or send a link to the information if it is on the WF site.
 * Thanks for the help

 * Hey [@flyfisher842](https://wordpress.org/support/users/flyfisher842/),
 * Can you please share a screenshot of **Wordfence > Live Traffic** when something
   is interfering with the plugin?
 * If it’s possible to recreate the issue you might try putting the Firewall into
   Learning Mode so you can whitelist the action.

 * Please let me know.

 * Gerald,
 * Apologies Thought I had replied to this issue. I whitelisted my ipv6 and ipv4
   ip addresses in the wordfence on my root account. This seems to have solved the
   issue so far. I have not had any lockouts since doing this.
