    Hello Author,

Currently we are using authorize.net payment gateway in our website with woocommerce and “Authorize.net Payment Gateway For WooCommerce” plugin.

And it is working perfect for us, but now we want to allow our customers for partial payment feature. It will be a recurring payment for every month, if a customer pay partial amount for one month then same amount should be deducted from his account automatically for next month.

Is seems like your plugin will provide us this feature, please guide us more on this like what extra we need to implement this feature:
    1. SSL certificate
    2. PCI compliant

Plugin will store credit card details or not, is it secure or not.

Please guide us on this, we want to use this plugin.

    Waiting for reply.

    Thanks,
    Sunil Chaudhary

    Hi Sunil,

You will need to install an SSL certificate and pass PCI Compliance. Our plugin is not an “offsite” solution, so the card info does pass through your server.

Our plugin does not store any card details in the WP database. It uses Authorize.Net’s CIM and just stores the profile id that is used for subsequent transactions.

    Thanks.

    Hi Author,

    Thanks for you prompt reply.

You mean to say recurring payments using your plugin is possible without storing credit card details because plugin is based on Authorize.Net CIM.

We already have SSL certificate, will you please guide us how to to pass pass PCI Compliance ?

    Many Thanks 🙂

    Thanks,
    Sunil Chaudhary

To complete the PCI you should just follow the instructions from your processor. There should be a scan of your website and survey for you to complete.

Our current normal payments are working fine with authorize.net without PCI . As currently, if a user clicks on “Buy Now” button it just go to authorize.net for payment.

In a case of recurring payment, also user just go to authorize.net for payment and recurring process will be handled by authorize.net itself on the basis of profile id.

So, now my question is in this case, PCI is required or we can proceed without PCI ?

    Please guide.

As I mentioned in the first reply, our plugin is not an “offsite” payment method. What I mean by this is when your customer goes to checkout, they are not transferred to a hosted Authorize.Net form. They remain on your website and when they click submit the credit card data is in memory on your server while the payment is being transmitted.

In any case, PCI compliance is required. It’s just a matter of how difficult it is to be in compliance. An offsite solution can be as simple as a 10 question survey, while an onsite solution may require a 100 question survey and security scan.
