    I give up …. how does one get an event to recur for X number of days in a row without getting an error message?

    Enter a start date and an end date for an event that runs several days. Do not use a recurring event type.

    Yes I got that, but I assumed, or hoped, the “Recurring” feature would skip weekends.

    But the standard feature will do.
