recurring event category not working

I’ve created an event and applied categories for different colors, and made them recurring but the issue is when recurring events are generated automatically the categories assigned to the the actual event are not being applied to the newly created recurring events..

In the newly created recurred event the categories are ticked correctly but they aren’t being applied until I republish the event.

Also the plugin is being used on a WordPress multisites.
