    Link to reset the password will not work on mobile. Samsung Galaxy S7.
    I have to put a space between ” and > at the end of line 342 (line 332 in
    WordPress 4.7 Beta 4) in the file wp-login.php for the link to work on mobiles.
    $message .= ‘<‘ . network_site_url(“wp-login.php?action=rp&key=$key&login=” . rawurlencode($user_login), ‘login’) . “>\r\n”;
    I have to change to this line for it to work.
    $message .= ‘<‘ . network_site_url(“wp-login.php?action=rp&key=$key&login=” . rawurlencode($user_login), ‘login’) . ” >\r\n”;

    Thanks
    Thorbjörn

    Hi,

    This is a problem with your email app and how it reads URLs (I’d also discourage the direct editing of core files, as your changes will be lost on update).

    The reason why we wrap the URLs in our emails inside < and > is to avoid email clients from breaking the URL if it’s considered too long, and is actually part of the RFC for emails.

    For the record, we’ve been wrapping them in angle brackets for quite some time now (It was introduced in revision 16285
    and addressed in ticket #14140).

    As this isn’t really a core bug, but a problem with the email app in use, I’m going to mark the thread as resolved so that we know what issues may still need looking into, you may of course provide more information if you discover anything here.
