I’ve updated WooCommerce to the latest version, 2.6.4. I’ve had set the recipient via admin WooCommerce > Settings > Emails for the orders, but New order, and Cancelled order aren’t showing the recipient in the list. Only Failed order does.

What could be causing this? Fortunately, it doesn’t affect the functionality of WooCommerce.

Are you sure there is an email recipient set for the New order and Cancelled order settings? Can you screenshot the individual email settings pages as well?

Yes. Both New Order and Cancelled Order settings have been set, and they both have the recipient’s email address as listed next to the Failed Order (just as shown in the above image link). I’ve no trouble receiving New Order, and Cancelled Order emails after running a few tests. I just find it so strange that the recipient’s email address isn’t listed, that’s all.

Aha!!! I found the culprit that was making the recipient’s email address not appearing. I’d WooCommerce & qTranslate-X installed together with qTranslate-X. The website has been configured to have two languages – English & Chinese.

Apparently, I must’ve insert the recipient’s email address for both languages without me realising it. When I noticed that two country flags at the top of the tabs when I navigated to WooCommerce > Settings > Emails; then it stuck me whatever I only had inserted two different email address for different languages respectively. And, walah! That was it.

After correcting them with identical email address, the recipient’s email address lists on all three rows.

What a relief … I need to be more watchful since I’ve managing two languages for my current website. I can’t imagine if there were more than two languages, it’ll be in an absolute nightmare to pinpoint the root cause.

    Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
