    Hello there,

somebody can explain what's the purpose to include a recipe.js file? What is this supposed to do?
THe name is misleading and I can get red of it by disabling the 3rd party services which are probably worth to be kept.

    Any explanation may be useful.

    Hi @moroandrea!

It is the JavaScript file for Shareaholic Analytics. More details here - https://shareaholic.com/publishers/analytics/

    Ah cool. Thanks.

Can you please tell me more of what kind of information and integratation it may provide in analytics?
I mean, GA is fully capable to track social network and with custom segments social media can be easily displayed.

So what is the real value to add 1.2 extra seconds while loading a site?

You can see a sample report here:

It is very focussed on the content producer. And designed to be simple and easy to consume. GA is overkill for most people.

User of Analytics also get the added benefit of automatic consideration for inclusion into Shareaholic Channels - https://shareaholic.com/channels

The script should not be adding 1.2 seconds to end users. It is CDN-ed and aggressively cached. Please let me know if it is! Note - online testing services tend not to take into account caching.
