Hi there,
We introduced the “Recipes act as posts” feature recently that causes this behaviour. A lot of people just wanted recipes to behave exactly like posts: show up on the front page, in widgets, in search, … without having to include them in actual posts. Due to this setting they also show up in the posts overview.
I’ll add a setting to disable this in the next release. For now you could solve it by disabling “Recipes act as posts” under “General settings”, but you’ll also lose the other functionality as well then.
Kind regards,
Brecht

Wow that was fast and elegant.
You rock!!!
Thanks.
Hi,
I disabled the “Recipes act as posts”, and just used the shortcodes for my custom post type posts and it works great.
Unfortunately the shortcode editor (chef’s hat icon) doesn’t appear in custom post types by default. It would be nice to have some kind of button to enable it for custom post types. There might already be a solution, I just didn’t manage to find it in the plugin.
For anyone interested, I figured I could technically add my post type slug in the shortcodegenerator function to make it show up.

Hi there,
I’ll look into it and might add this setting in a future update, thanks for letting me know!

Hi,
I’m trying to find the “Recipes act as posts” option because this is exactly the behavior I need.
I want the recipe to act as if it is a post w/o having to include it in a post.
I can’t find the option you mentioned.
Tnx
Roy

Hi Roy,
The ‘Recipes act as posts’ setting should be enabled by default, but you can change it on the Recipes > Settings > Advanced page.
Kind regards,
