 * It seems,
 * That the recent update to wordpress 4.1.1 has completely changed my website.
 * Both deltaproconsulting.com and deltaproconsulting.com/testing are completely
   messed up.
 * Apologize if this is in the wrong forum.

 * hey there
 * i just visited both of your installs. the good news is there are no errors and
   things are not visually misaligned, so we likely are dealing with a css issue
   only.
 * what are the symptoms you see that are messed up?
 * according to the theme author (on a banner on their site [here](http://www.wrock.org/esell-woocommerce-theme/))
   theme updates are on there way. have you already applied these?
 * also, in addition to this thread, it’s probably worth posting on the theme autor’s
   support forum for the esell theme here: [http://forum.insertcart.com/viewforum.php?f=6](http://forum.insertcart.com/viewforum.php?f=6)
   as it is a [commercial product](http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome#Commercial_Products)

 * First,
    Thanks for your quick support.
 * I didn’t run any theme updates.
 * Is there anyway to get the css back? Our back up was the testing site.
 * Sounds like you might be correct about it only being the css.

 * Actually, I just checked, and most of the pages have gone back to the original
   coding in the theme editor.

 * nice! so it’s ok now? maybe that was wp super cache doing a preload inbetween…
 * as for getting back the old css, it’s worth using a [child theme](http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes)
   to preserve your customizations when a theme update arrives from the theme author.
   there are some [plugins that can help](https://wordpress.org/plugins/child-theme-configurator/)
   you set one up. do you have any backups you can restore from? there are lots
   of great [backup plugins](https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=backup)
   available and i highly recommend using them as a way of snapshotting your wordpress
   installs. if you want any help with these let us know
 * if you need anything else just let us know!

 * It does not seem to be fixed. I was able to use a back up I had of the folder
   structure and recreate the site, but it happened again.
 * What could be causing this? Everything I change in the html/php/css goes back
   to what it was before I started with the exception of content with-in theme options.
   I am using the esell theme.

 * Looks like you have a caching plugin – SuperCache – try clearing the cache.

 * Okay, I tried clearing the cache and I also tried deactivating the plugin SuperCache.
   I then reloading my code to each page to recreate the site, and it changed back
   again to the old format.

 * I do not think SuperCache was the issue here. The site still will not keep any
   changes.

 * Have you tried deactivating ALL plugins and switching to a default theme (twentyfifteen)
   to see if that makes any difference.
 * It’s also possible it could be something on the server/hosting – have you checked
   with them?

 * UPDATE:
 * I have tried your suggestions.
 * * Deactivating all plugins (did not work)
    * Checked server hosting and disabled
   automatic updates (did not work) — I have multiple WordPress themes installed
   on different sites with-in the same hosting account and none change like this.
 * * I have tried creating a child theme and with great success the changes in theme
   editor with-in the parent theme still do not hold.
    — I have tried editing using
   NotePad++ and uploading them in multiple different ways using FileZilla and other
   tools provided by my hosing account.
 * * Deleted and reinstalled completely fresh (did not work)
 * All end-results come up the same. Any changes made with-in the theme editor or‘
   uploading files one by one (which results in fatal errors sometimes, but this
   in not the issue.)’ do not stay.
 * If I make a change, and make the site look how I want, with-in a couple hours
   sometimes less sometimes more, all and ONLY files with-in theme editor including.
   css change back to as if I made no change.
 * I’m looking completely dumb in front of my client and would like to get this
   resolved.
 * Does anyone else have this issue?
