In previous build (at least 3.23) we were able to add noopener and target to the tags in our image descriptions. Later versions strip these out when saving the gallery.

Is there a filter we can use to stop this strip?

Failing that is there any chance you can bring this feature back? It’s important when offering affiliate links to image descriptions but more importantly to keep the referring site tab open.

Sorry – to clarify I meant to the <a> tags in our image descriptions.

Hi,

Have you checked for conflicts? I have tested with current version 3.4.7 and html tags seem to be working fine, you need to deactivate your other plugins besides Nextgen Gallery and test again, if the problem is gone, it is cause by one of your plugins, also you can check if something on your functions.php might be affecting.
